CharlaMate is a reciprocal language exchange. You are paired with a Spanish speaker who is learning your language, and you help each other through real, friendly conversation.

Why reciprocal exchange works
When both people are learners, the conversation becomes generous. You are patient because you know how it feels, and you are curious because you are both discovering something new.
Each session is shared fairly: half the time in Spanish, half in your language. You leave with new words, a new perspective and, often, a new friend.

We are currently running CharlaMate with a small group of learners so we can listen closely and get the experience right.
